One Position, One Big Difference... BASA Election 2010/2011

If you’re looking to expand your education past the classroom here is your opportunity. The following positions are up for election for the 2010/2011 year: (click on each for job description)
Executive Officer of Corporate Relations
Executive Officer of Marketing
Executive Officer of Communications
Executive Officer of Operations
Executive Officer of Information Technology
Nomination Period: March 3 - March 17 .
Campaign Period: March 17- March 31.
Elections will be held on March 31 at BASA’s Annual General Meeting. All interested Individuals must e-mail their nomination to run to elections@uwbasa.ca. The e-mail must include the following:
a) Candidates name
b) Position the candidate would like to run for (all positions can be seen at www.uwbasa.ca)
c) A brief bio(no more than 2 paragraphs) of the candidate, which must include why the candidate believes they are suited for the position and any relevant experience
d) An e-mail address for the candidate that can be posted on the website and the BASA Bulletin Board
e) A casual picture of the Candidate
Candidate’s information will be posted on the BASA Bulletin Board, no additional posters will be allowed on campus. The candidate is more than welcome to use social networks to promote themselves but the social pages must be open to everyone, and subject to review by the election coordinators. Three days prior to the Annual General Meeting, a special BASA Newsletter will be sent to all members, which will include all of the candidates and their information.
Elections Day: March 31
All candidates will be asked to make a speech less than 2 minutes in length before the voting commences. Voting will be done by secret ballot. Results will be announced at the end of the Annual General Meeting
