BASA Presents: A Day in the Life

Wednesday March 10, 2010 at 12:30-1:20. Located in Grey Room, University of Winnipeg (silent study area above 4th floor Centennial Hall Library Entrance).

As an undergraduate it is difficult to know where to start looking for a career, and more importantly, what that career is actually like on a day-to-day basis.

Join us next Wednesday to find out what happens in the life of a Program Manager and a Project Manager.

Come early as this event fills up quickly. Snacks will be provided and prizes for BASA members. This includes a chance to win a Netbook!

SPEAKERS

Darrin Erickson

Darrin Erickson is the lead portfolio manager of GWLIM U.S. Equity Fund and GWLIM U.S. Mid Cap Fund. Prior to joining GWLIM in 2000, Mr. Erickson was involved in pension investments at Manitoba Telecom. Mr. Erickson is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alberta, as well as a Bachelor degree (International Relations) and a Masters degree (Political Science) from the University of British Columbia.

Brad Gerrard

Brad Gerrard is a program manager with 7 years of experience with Great-West Life and over 12 year of experience in the business of information technology. Brad has managed a diverse spectrum of projects ranging from $500K (five hundred thousand) to in excess of $10 million and, recently completed the delivery of a large 4 year international strategic project at Great-West Life.
