Mission Statement

BASA is a student association that is dedicated to helping its members achieve business excellence. We are committed to promoting the exchange of ideas and advancing the interests of Business Students at the University of Winnipeg. BASA’s aim is to create opportunities for its members, by allowing them to further enhance their university experience in ways that will lead to successful and profitable business careers.

Expanding students’ educational experiences and giving our members the opportunity to showcase their talents are among our top priorities. Achieving these two goals will ultimately enrich students’ experiences while they are enrolled in the Business Administration Program, as well as after they graduate. Also, it is our goal to ensure that the highest level of education is provided to our students. In conjunction with the new Faculty of Business & Economics, BASA will ensure that students’ education will be a combination of traditional business fundamentals, liberal arts, and multidisciplinary learning capability. This will allow students to be independent thinkers, socially conscious leaders, and innovative businesspeople.

For our graduates, the BASA Alumni Association will provide services by keeping graduates and faculty connected with each other and the greater business community. Along with these services, we hope that BASA will move in a direction that will lead to many valuable extracurricular opportunities, including internships, career workshops, presentations, and many more. The road to success for all business students is a long one, and at the University of Winnipeg, BASA will be there to aid its members along the way.
